Expected Outcomes:
The development of a cadre of academicians and community learners who are knowledgeable and committed to increasing their understanding of motivational theories and applications.
The development of motivational curriculum models that could be appropriately applied in a variety of learning environments;
The placement of motivation as a key element of discussion among stakeholders who have vested interest in the learning and achievement of all children;
The establishment of clinical settings in which motivational paradigms and models can be examined and evaluated
The commitment to establish a forum(s) for pure research on the subject of motivation and learning; thus, contributing to the existing body of literature on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
Key Strategies
Key strategies that will be used to facilitate the achievement of the expected outcomes include:
Develop sound opportunities for stakeholders to investigate classical and current paradigms and variables that inform them about motivation and learning.
Create opportunities for academicians and the community of learners to develop a learned posture of leadership; and to create opportunities of learning that support the development of their skills which will impact the actions and learning of others;
Create an arena of knowledgeable community of learners with specialization emphasis on learning and motivation. This community of learners will be available for local, state and national consultations;
Contribute to an electronic newsletter that will inform education, social systems, secular and religious systems, social sciences, etc, regarding the relationship(s) between motivation and learning.
